About Hollywood Jade

A visionary with a passion for excellence, Hollywood Jade wears multiple hats as a choreographer, artistic director, performance coach, and media personality, among others. Always striving to find new and exciting ways to present his timeless creativity to the masses, Hollywood Jade has showcased his multi dimensional artistic creations on both the big and small screen, local and international stages, and has worked with some of the world’s top organizations, artists and talents. As a highly in-demand choreographer, some of Hollywood’s notable clients including Keshia Chante (‘Shooting Star’ Video), Snoop Dogg (The High Road Tour), Estelle (Pride Tour), Bebe Rexha (‘The Way I Are’ Video) and Meghan Trainor (iHeartRadio MMVA’s), and his choreography in The Soul Of Motown earned him a Betty Mitchell Award nomination for “Outstanding Choreography or Fight Direction”. Taking notice of his incredible eye for detail, he was sought after by Jully Black, securing the position of artistic director and choreographer for Canada’s Queen of R&B. Currently the resident choreographer and a special guest judge on seasons two and three of Canada’s Drag Race, Hollywood’s diverse skill set and colossal dancing talents were first brought to the forefront with performances in projects like Save The Last Dance 2,Camp Rock 2, Make Your Move and the smash-hit block buster Hairspray.

In 2011, he launched ‘Hollywood Jade Presents’, his renowned performance company, with a primary focus on “Urbanesque”, which fuses the classic style of burlesque with modern and contemporary music and movement. Hollywood has also served as the artistic director of The Black Diamond Ball (2017-2021), is a contributing member of Artist’s In Motion and spent time as a cast member in Holla Jazz’s Dora Mavor Moore Award winning production of FLOOR’D, a soulful and propulsive performance of dance, live music, and raw energy, all in the spirit of jazz. He appeared on an episode of CTV’s The Social, was featured on the cover of IN Magazine discussing the power of authenticity, transparency, and unity, and made history choreographing a ground-breaking halftime show for the Toronto Raptors.  The first across the NBA to feature a Drag Performance. With numerous exciting new projects on the way, an on-going partnership with Adidas, a passion for social justice and an enduring commitment to the betterment of his community, Hollywood’s ambition is only hampered by the limits of his imagination, and he continues to carve out his own niche in the entertainment business, proving yet again that he is in fact, one-of-a-kind.
