About Brittnee Habbib:

Brittnee Habbib is a creative artist, producer, director, storyteller, dancer, and filmmaker. Born and raised in Toronto, Habbib is a proud Syrian-Jamaican who identifies as a Black woman.

In Habbib’s early life, she was on the Canadian National Gymnastics team. She has travelled to 9 countries including the Commonwealth Games in Australia. The Pan AM Championships in Brazil and the World Championships in Denmark. Habbib was the only Black girl on the team and faced racism and discrimination from an early age.  She knew she couldn’t let the next generation suffer like she did, so she created Girl Power’d; a gymnastics and dance program meant to build self-esteem and self-love for young girls who identity as Black. This non-profit is successfully in its 10th year, and now has competitive programming. Habbib is one of Canada’s top National gymnastics coaches,.  She has travelled internationally as a celebrity coach and has facilitated numerous workshops as a coach and as a choreographer.
