TUЯИOUT Radio producer receives media nomination at the Lotus Hope Impact Awards
Toronto, ON – The Lotus Hope Foundation celebrates changemakers at City Playhouse theatre in Vaughan.
On Sunday July 5, the 2026 Lotus Hope Impact Awards recognized women and youth for their outstanding achievements in sports and the arts. The awards ceremony paid tribute to nominees across 22 categories including lifetime achievement, media contribution, changemaker, and performing arts. Held at City Playhouse theatre, the event welcomed nominees with commemorative gifts and plaques honoring their service within their respective practices and fields.
Nominated for her contributions in dance media, was TUЯИOUT Radio host & producer, Nicole Inica Hamilton. The media contribution award celebrates women who create impactful and empowering media content, demonstrating ethical, authentic storytelling and influence, while maintaining a deep commitment to utilizing media to inform, inspire, and engage diverse audiences. Hamilton was nominated by dance artist‑scholar, cultural arts programmer, educator, and arts consultant Collette ‘Coco’ Murray.
“I’m thrilled to have been nominated” says Hamilton. “I consider it an honor to share space with others in this work, and to engage in conversations that explore our human experiences. I’m grateful for the TUЯИOUT Radio production team, CIUT radio, guests, audience members and collaborators who have been on this journey with our radio program. Among them I include Timea Wharton-Suri, Curator and Executive Director of dance Immersion, who has shared her insightful mentorship with our programming over the last few years. My thanks is shared with Collette ‘Coco’ Murray for this generous nomination.” Hamilton, an award-winning choreographer and the Artistic Director of Inica Dance Industries, is entering her 10th year of hosting and producing TUЯИOUT Radio.
Nominated for the Changemaker award, was Wharton-Suri. The award celebrates women who lead with purpose, inspire transformation, creating a lasting impact in communities and beyond. The Changemaker award recognizes women who empower others through action, vision, and dedication, creating meaningful change that inspires future generations.
The Lotus Hope Foundation, is a registered Canadian non-profit organization established in 2022 by entrepreneur & visionary – Michelle Johnson. The Foundation provides community based programs including educational workshops, leadership and mentorship programs – aiming to help women and youth to develop stronger social, emotional, and leaderships skills, igniting their passion for renewed confidence in achieving successful careers and brighter futures.
